Our History
Fueled By Hope was born out of our journey with our son, Bradley. Inspired by the unwavering support we have received along the way, we strive to pay it forward---bringing hope, resources, and joy to those in need. With Bradley as our driving mission, we champion advocacy, fundraising, and collaboration to ensure that every child with medical challenges and/or disabilities and their families receive the care, opportunities and support they deserve. From the challenges of navigating the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, to overcoming struggles that may lay ahead, together, we are Fueled by Hope.

Migenis is the co-founder and president of the Fueled by Hope Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting medically complex children and their families through community events and inclusive outreach. A proud graduate of Belen Jesuit Preparatory School, Jose embodies the spirit of “Men for Others” in both his personal and professional life. With over a decade in senior management roles within the fitness industry and as the owner of HyperSpeed Group—an organization known for uniting automotive passion with philanthropy—Jose brings strong leadership, creativity, and purpose to advancing the foundation’s mission of hope and inclusion.

Vilma Migenis is the co-founder and Chairperson of the Fueled by Hope Foundation. Her son Bradley, spent 54 days in the NICU which included a hospital transfer to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in April 2019. Along with her husband Jose, they navigate the journey of being parents to a disabled child with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and Vision
Vilma Migenis is the co-founder and Chairperson of the Fueled by Hope Foundation. Along with her husband Jose, they navigate the journey of being parents to a disabled child with Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and Vision Impairment and together they serve on the Family Advisory Council at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. A graduate of Florida's Partners in Policymaking 2022 training program, Vilma is dedicated to raising awareness for children with disabilities, the mental health needs of NICU families, as well as increasing the support for families once they graduate from the NICU. Additionally, Vilma serves as the Community Building Coordinator for Dear NICU Mama.

A proud Belen Jesuit Preparatory School graduate, he embodies the school’s motto of being a “Man for Others” through his commitment to compassionate, high-quality care. After ten years as a CVICU Registered Nurse, Maickoll earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). He now practices as a locum anesthesia provider, serving hospitals across the country. As a Director of the Fueled by Hope Foundation, he brings his medical expertise and dedication to service to help advance the foundation’s mission of inclusion and community support.
